Carol Ray Weaver of Canon City passed peacefully in his sleep on August 19, 2019. He is now with our heavenly Father and is riding high in heaven.
He was born in Canon City, Colorado on February 1, 1942 to Robert Weaver and Edna Mae (Willits) Weaver.
At the age of 17 Ray joined the Marines. He was enlisted for two years and then a short time later he enlisted in the Navy for two more years. He then met and married Linda Skaggs and had one son, Michael.
Ray had several careers in his life and was successful at all. Truck driving and working for Department of Corrections were among his favorite. Ray was passionate about his cars and motorcycles and loved short rides as well as road trips on his Harley. Ray truly was in his element when he was with his vehicles.
Ray is survived by Linda Skaggs; son, Michael; three sisters, one brother;12 nieces and nephews; along with numerous grandchildren.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister.
