Andrew Theodore Goodwin

Andrew Theodore Goodwin was born in Sierra Vista, Arizona on September 30, 2000, and was taken from us on June 24, 2022.

Andrew was 21 years old and loved to play any musical instrument, including his voice. He had a passion for classic cars and loved to attend community events, especially if they involved karaoke. He was one of the only minors in Canon City and Westcliffe that was welcomed into bars where karaoke events took place because even at the age of 8, he was a powerhouse entertainer, known to many as “Andy Pandy”.

Andrew’s survivors include his mom, Gigi Goodwin; grandmother, Annie Goodwin; brother, JD Goodwin; sister, Genna Goodwin; aunts, Erica Lindley and Erin Phillips; uncle, Gary Phillips; as well as cousins, Heidi Rael, Shelby Hermasillo, Olivia and Mia Phillips, and Sarah, Timothy, and Jaxon Grasmick. Andy was preceded in death by his grandfather, Gerald “Goody” Goodwin.

Andrew has been actively involved in the Canon City community since his youth as a pack 116 Cub Scout and later, a Boy Scout. Andrew was well known in the community for helping the underdog, and in his last act of service, a hero for an abused Canon City woman.

Andrew’s memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 2, 2022, at Vineyard Church in Canon City. A potluck reception will follow at 12:00 PM at Pathfinder Park in Florence.
