Arlene Jo Kness Vislosky, 72, of Pueblo, Colorado, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. Arlene grew up near Westcliffe, Colorado, in a community she loved where she continued to spend time with friends and family throughout her life. After a high school class in bookkeeping, Arlene pursued her interest in becoming a Certified Public Accountant and then worked in accounting and tax until her last days. Arlene had many interests outside of work. She loved working in her yard, sewing, cake decorating, riding motorcycles, and making sure friends and family were given the love and care they needed. Together with her husband John, Arlene had ten dogs in 51 years of their marriage. Most importantly, during the past eight years, Arlene was moved to devote her time to studying the Bible and deepening her faith in God.
Arlene was predeceased by her parents, Darrell and Virginia Kness. She is survived by her husband, John with whom she was married for almost 52 years. Arlene also left behind three sisters, Bonnie Hochhalter, Beverlee Mitchell (William Mitchell) and Idelle Kness (Pat Novak); as well as many nieces and nephews with whom she found great joy.
Arlene's celebration of life is on Monday, February 12th, 11:00 A.M. at First Congregational Church of Christ, 228 West Evans Ave., Pueblo, Colorado.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sangre de Cristo Community Care, 1920 Valley Drive, Pueblo, CO 81008.
