Benny Lloyd Obituary

Benny Lloyd, 80, passed away on October 30, 2021, with his family by his side.

Benny was born on August 26, 1941, to Tommy and Hazel Lloyd in Grand Junction, Colorado. After a rambunctious childhood, he joined the United States Air Force and served 6 years, where he served in the state of Washington and was later transferred to an airbase in England.

After leaving the Air Force, he joined his brother working out of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local #145 out of Grand Junction, Colorado. Benny was a lifetime member for over 55 years. After his retirement, he and his wife of 31 years, Vernia, moved to Canon City, Colorado.

Benny is survived by his wife, Vernia, and 4 children, Ty (Lisa) Lloyd, Nikki Tezak, Tab Lloyd, and Dawn (Kristy) Lloyd. He also has 3 grandchildren, Chelsea Lloyd, Trever Lloyd, and Brianna (Lloyd) McClaugherty; 1 great-grandchild; and a brother, Dennis Lloyd. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Arnold Lloyd; sister, Carol (Lloyd) Winters; and son, Bobby Dean Lloyd.
