Beth Waters

Beth Waters, 76, passed away November 13, 2014 in Colorado Springs, CO. Born in Cripple Creek, Colorado on June 4, 1938 she was the daughter of Omar Everett and Gertrude (Hollar) Raber. Beth earned her Bachelors of Science degree in 1991 from the University of Maryland. She was a computer systems analyst for the National Park Service for 18 years. On January 17, 2009, Beth was united in marriage to William L. Waters. She was a member of the Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, the IOOF Rebekah Lodge, and Toastmasters. She was an associate member of the Marine Corp League, and active in the Women's Executive Leadership Program through OPM. Beth is survived by her son, Don Fischer; grandchildren, Lucas Fischer and Lacy Anderson; great grandchildren, Landon and Karmyn; and brother, James Raber. She was preceded in death by her husband, William in 2012; her parents; and sisters, Lola Marie Raber and Lois May Jackson. Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church. A Reception for friends and family will follow at 2:00 p.m., Saturday at 704 Dozier Avenue, Canon City, CO. Beth will be laid to rest next to William at Arlington National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Adams State Foundation Bill & Beth Waters Scholarship Fund through the funeral home.
