Betty Louise Paine

Betty Louise Caywood Paine, 92 years old, passed away peacefully in her sleep
Tuesday morning the 24 th of September 2024. She was born in Gypsum, Colorado on
February 24, 1932, to parents James Walrad Caywood and Juanita Bertroch. She was
predeceased by her husband John Maxwell Paine November 24, 1968, and three
brothers and three sisters. Betty is survived by her brother Joseph Paine (Idaho), two
sons, Jeffrey Maxwell Paine (Diane) and John Michael Paine (Carol), and her daughter
Jennifer Louise Paine Israel (Richard), nine grandchildren and twenty
greatgrandchildren.
Betty moved to Glenwood Springs, Colorado after high school and lived in the
Colorado Hotel working as a maid until she married Johnny. She moved around with
him as a Navy wife raising their three children. She and her husband instilled a strong
sense of family and work ethics in their children. As a family they were always finding
things to do together whenever their father was home. After her husband passed Betty
kept the family busy with one adventure after another. She saw many famous people
while working in restaurants in Canon City. She was a hard worker and loved to travel
and sightsee whenever she had the chance.
She was a great mother, staying involved with her family and always having time
for them. Betty had a full life and a positive attitude, being loved by all who knew her.
She will be greatly missed.
