Bradley Harvey Obituary

Bradley S. Harvey, a beloved son, brother, husband, and friend, passed away on February 28th, 2024 at home in Canon City, Colorado at the age of 64. He was born on August 12th, 1959 in Pueblo, Colorado to Bernice DelDuco and Wayne Donald Harvey.

Brad's life was marked by love and resilience. Despite facing numerous hardships throughout his life including the loss of his beloved wife Gayleen Harvey and several family members before him including his parents Bernice (Pete) DelDuco and Wayne Donald Harvey; Brother Douglas Harvey; Sister Cynthia Harvey; and sister-in-law Karla Sheely - Brad never lost his unwavering faith in God or his infectious smile.

Growing up in Penrose and graduating from Florence High School shaped Brad into the kind-hearted man he became known for being. His career as a machinist brought him fulfillment until retirement when he dedicated himself to teaching water aerobics. It was during this time that he touched countless lives with his kindness and patience.

His devotion to God led him to become an active member of the First Christian Church where he found solace and community. His faith sustained him through every trial he faced.

In addition to these accomplishments, Brad had a passion for square dancing which brought joy not only to himself but also those around him who were lucky enough to join in on the fun. He loved spending time outdoors bike riding with friends or simply enjoying nature's beauty alongside Levi – his cherished dog who provided endless companionship over the years.

Despite enduring health challenges throughout much of his life, Brad never once complained or let it dampen his spirit. His positive outlook on life remained steadfast until the very end – always greeting others with warmth and compassion no matter what burdens lay upon him.

Brad is survived by many extended family members including Lori (Doug) Giem -his devoted sister- and brother Michael Harvey along with numerous friends whose lives have been forever changed by knowing such an extraordinary soul like Brad.
Evangeline Avila held a special place in Brad's heart as they shared an unbreakable bond that transcended friendship – she stood by him through thick and thin providing unwavering support during some of life's most challenging moments.

The impact Brad made will be felt for generations as those who knew him carry forward memories filled with laughter, love & inspiration from one remarkable individual whose legacy will continue shining brightly long after saying goodbye.
