Briar Hanes Obituary

Our beautiful baby girl went to rest on July 30, 2022.

No words can describe the pain and loss the family is experiencing during this time. Our sweet baby Briar was so loved and long waited for. Briar was the youngest baby of 8 and was so loved and cherished by her siblings. She had the most beautiful smile with dimples, and the longest toes! Briar also had the fullest prettiest head of hair that we all would run our fingers through.

She is survived by her parents, Brett Hanes and Hannah Westphal; her siblings, Tanner, Canaan, and Caspian Westphal, and Ethan, Cyprus, and Bohdi Hanes; her grandparents, Joe and Janet Hanes, Adron Williams, Emily Isgrigg, and Michelle Carpenter; her great-grandparents, Jayne Isgrigg, Debbie Williams, and Floyd and Peggy Wills; and great-great-grandma, Laurnell Betz.

Briar will, until the end of time, be in our hearts. Such a beautiful baby girl will always be remembered.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 12, 2022, at Holt Family Funeral Home in Canon City. Immediately following the service, family and friends are invited to get together at Margaret Park, off of 5th St. in Canon City. Food will be provided.

The family asks, in lieu of flowers, please choose live plants so that her memory may live on through them.
