Bryce William Hamilton went to be with the Lord, Friday, October 13, 2023, at the age of 72. He was born December 28, 1950, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to John & Evelyn Hamilton. He lived in Broadwater NE until he was 3 years old. In 1954, the family moved to Denver, Colorado. He attended and graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in 1969. Bryce played football and track. He was also a member of a school stage crew running the lights and sound for mini plays and concerts. In 1969, Bryce enrolled at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado graduating in 1974, with a BS in Forestry-Parks Administration. In 1974, he was employed with the City of Fort Collins as a Forester. In May 1978, Bryce moved to Cañon City, Colorado to begin a career as the City Forester with the City of Cañon City. He held that post until 2013, retiring after 35 years. Bryce loved all Colorado professional and college sports teams, attending many over the years. He also followed Cañon City High School athletic teams. Bryce was a member of the Evangelical Free Church for 35 plus years. He served several terms as a deacon and worked in the sound booth. Bryce is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Jeff Hamilton, and sister-in-law, Pamela Hamilton. He is survived by his brother, Andy Hamilton, sister-in-law Susan Hamilton, and niece Andrea (Antoine) Hamilton. Services will be held 11:00 a.m. on November 2, 2023 at Evangelical Free Church, 3000 E Main St, Cañon City.
