Chelsea Durham-Longshore, 33, was born April 27, 1989, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and was tragically stolen away on May 31, 2022, in Pueblo, Colorado.
Chelsea was raised in Canon City and graduated from Canon City High School in 2007. Throughout her life, Chelsea never ceased to entertain her family and friends, making them laugh until they cried, with her quirky and crazy sense of humor. She was also very intuitive and recognized unspoken needs and pain in others. She did many things in her life but struggled for several years with her personal demons she fought to overcome. Throughout it all, she hoped to return to college and complete her cosmetology degree, but more important than that was reuniting with her two sons, Breanden and Kaidan, whom she believed to be her greatest achievements. Chelsea was a gentle soul who loved deeply but was also filled with much regret and pain, and sadly, never fully realized just how truly and deeply loved she was, and always will be.
Chelsea is survived by her mother, Lesa Durham of Canon City; sons, Breanden and Kaidan also of Canon City; aunt, Kim (Jody) Collins; numerous cousins across the country; as well as the friends she held so dear. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather and grandmother, whom she loved deeply, and numerous aunts and uncles.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 10, 2022, at Holt Chapel of the Garden: 806 Macon Avenue, Canon City with Heather Hargrove officiating. In honor of Chelsea, please feel free to wear pink, she always said it was her signature color.
