Westcliffe, Co. Danny Biddinger, age 83
Died on Aug 18, 2024, at Pueblo Colorado. He was born July 10, 1941, in Pratt, Kansas. The son of Harold and Ferne Biddinger of Pratt, KS. Danny graduated from Pratt High School in 1959. Following graduation, he attended Bethany Nazarene College, (Southern Nazarene University) where he met Martha Munhollon and they were married on July 10, 1960. They celebrated 64 years of marriage on July 10, 2024. After leaving Bethany Nazarene College he went to Railroad Communication School. While there he was offered a position with the CB&Q Railroad which went through 4 mergers to become the BNSF Railroad as it is known today. He had a 40-year career with that same railroad, enjoying numerous promotions. Concurrently the Lord helped him open a successful wedding photography studio, photographing approximately 1500 weddings. Danny had always been deeply involved with his church. Teaching an Adult Sunday School Class for 30 years. He was the music director for the congregation for 25 years and served on the church board for 43 years. Also, concurrently the Lord called Danny into the preaching ministry in 1990, then 4 years of Nazarene schooling, and was ordained in 1994 in the Church of the Nazarene. After ordination in 1994, he was asked to be the Associate Pastor of First Church of the Nazarene in St Joseph, Mo. A post which he held until retiring in 2011 after 21 years on staff. From 2005-2011 Danny served as a chaplain for the St. Joseph Police Dept and the Buchanan county Sheriff's office. In December of 2011, Danny and Martha moved to Westcliffe, CO, and attended the Sangre de Cristo Fellowship, becoming an Elder there. In 2015 he became a chaplain for the Custer County Sheriff's office. Danny and Martha were always together, if you saw one the other one was close by. He always said that he married up. Spiritually speaking, Danny was heard to say hundreds of times, I just want to hear “Well done my good and faithful servant, enter into the kingdom of heaven” and he would add, “and take as many with me as I can”. Preceded in death by parents, Harold and Ferne. Survived by sons and relatives Steven, Brian, Amanda, Jerry, and Carol.
