Diana K Murphy

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Diana K. (Lick) Murphy, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, who passed away after a long illness. Diana was born in Canon City, Colorado, on November 9, 1946, to Lee “Lefty” Lick and Doris Henderson. She remained a lifelong resident of the community she loved.

For many years, Diana shared her passion for reading and learning with the children of Canon City as the cherished librarian at Washington Elementary School. She touched the lives of countless students, fostering a love for books and curiosity that will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived by her loving and dedicated spouse of 58 years, John Michael Murphy, her daughter Michelle Madayag (Catalino), grandchildren Jack Murphy (Maggie), Peter Murphy, Charlie Murphy, Dax Murphy, Devin Madayag, and great-grandson, Jameson Murphy. She is preceded in death by her son, Sean Murphy (Johannah)

Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 5th, at Saint Michael Catholic Church,  1016 Mystic Ave, Canon City, CO 81212.
