Donna Olson

Donna Anita Olson, 83, passed away on May 30, 2023 at Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs, CO after suffering from a stroke on May 19, 2023. Donna was born in Milwaukee, WI, the youngest child in a family of six children, all of whom are deceased. Donna’s mother died at the age of 106. In 1956, she married Roger “Rick” Olson in Racine, WI. Together they had four beautiful daughters, Christine, born in 1958, Cindy, born in 1960, Cathy, born in 1962, and Carol, born in 1963. Donna’s husband Rick was a career military man (Army bomb squad) for 26 years, retiring in August 1980. The family had been stationed in Germany twice, and Italy twice. Donna became a “military mom” and raised the family of four girls with the skill of a colonel. Time passed and the girls married. Donna and Rick settled first in Colorado Springs, CO and then in Florence, CO where she loved to garden, cook and enjoy friends at game nights.

Donna is survived by her husband, Rick; daughters, Christine, Cindy, Cathy and Carol; 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. There will be a private family burial in Colorado Springs. May you rest with our Lord Jesus.
