Edwin Jon Breunig
November 22, 1960- April 20, 2025
Edwin Jon Breunig (of Planet Earth), born in Milwaukee WI. On November 22nd, 1960, to Ed and Kathy Breunig. He came to Canon City with his mother in the late 1970's. He went home to be with his Lord and Savior on April 20, 2025, in Canon City, CO at the age of 64.
Ruth and Ed were married on June 10th, 1984, just short of 41 years.
Ed was a real hoot with a wacky sense of humor and unmatched sarcasm (pretty sure that was a Breunig trait). Ed had a kind generous soul ( that came from his mom).
He loved his Ruth more than words will ever express and the cats came in a close second. He enjoyed his strolls with Ruth along the Riverwalk and listening to all sorts of music - some rather loudly- As I write this up, I can see his eyes roll and a little chuckle.
Survived by his wife Ruth (nee Hiller), siblings Scott Breunig , Tracy ( Mark) Windsor.
Brothers- in-law and sisters -in-law: Susan Hiller, Rose Fisher, Michelle ( Jerry) Miley, Duane (Kendra) Hiller and Bev Hiller.
He is survived by many cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, as well as many Facebook friends. We will miss his ' Good Mornings ', Scrabble games and trying not to groan at some of those posts, for which he is known. As said by an Facebook friend: "Ed had a unique view of the world."
We are going to miss you, Eddy.
There will be a Celebration of Life on June 13th at 6:00 pm at Grace Family Church, 320 N 5th, Canon City, CO.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
