Elden Henry Ediger, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away peacefully on February 3,
2026, in Overland Park, Kansas.
Elden was born on July 4, 1933, in Meade, Kansas, to Henry and Katie Ediger. He lived in
Meade until marrying the love of his life, Alleen Crosslen, on June 21, 1953, in Colorado
Springs, where they made their home.
Elden had a deep love for God and his family, and he never missed an opportunity to tell a
good story. He was passionate about all things automotive and found particular joy in racing
cars. Elden lived life fully and in the moment, embracing each day with enthusiasm. He was
loved and respected by his family, friends, and community, all of whom will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four older brothers; and his beloved wife, Alleen.
Elden is survived by his children: Debbie Amor (Joe), Jeri Johnson (Mike), Robert Ediger
(Stacy), and Gary Ediger (Jane); nine grandchildren, who affectionately knew him as
“Grandpa Turkey” and twelve great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Memorial
Gardens, 3825 Airport Road, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910.
