Eldon Filley

Eldon Filley, 79, of Denver, CO passed away on April 2, 2023 after a short illness.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Dolores; along with three daughters, Eydie, Sonya and April; as well as nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Eldon was born on November 5, 1943 to parents Jessie Campbell (Volk) and Elmer Filley, and raised by his "Granny" Celia Campbell.  He attended Canon City High School, graduating in 1961. He went on to proudly serve in the US Navy and returned to Denver to work for the state highway service and then Public Service Company of Colorado where he retired after 20 years. 

A quiet and thoughtful family man, Eldon loved the serenity of the mountains. Together, he and Dolores built a dream cabin near the Royal Gorge, where four generations have made many happy memories.

A Graveside will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 6, 2023 at Mountain Vale Memorial Gardens: 1700 Chestnut St. Canon City, CO.
