Elizabeth Ann Stronz Obituary

Elizabeth Ann (Kyle) Stronz was born in Wadsworth, Ohio on July 1, 1935, to parents William Kyle and
Hazel (Haberlein) Kyle. Known as Ann to all who knew and loved her, she was always a sassy, spitfire of a
woman. Her energy and spirit on this earth will be truly missed.
In seventh grade, Ann met her sweetheart and love of her life, James Eugene Stronz, and they married
on July 31, 1954. They were married for over 70 years. Jim and Ann had quite the adventures while Jim
was in the Air Force, having five children in seven years!
With an infectious and bubbly personality, Ann was a social butterfly and
enjoyed bowling, bridge, bingo, casinos, and shopping. In more recent years she discovered her love for
jigsaw puzzles and adult coloring books, which helped keep her mind active. She became quite the artist
with her coloring and used those pictures as ways to show love to others by giving them as gifts. Ann
always seemed young for her age because she was, as the song goes, young at heart.
Ann loved the Peanuts character, Snoopy, declaring herself the informal president of Snoopy's fan club,
and had quite the collection of figurines. Always an animal lover, she was especially fond of and drawn
to cats. Her last cat, Zoe, lived for 20 years. She also loved bird watching and made Jim fill the bird
feeders regularly! Ann was a big fan of Elvis Presley and Tiger Woods, and loved Hallmark Channel
movies, being the romantic that she was.
For Ann and Jim, family always came first, and she was especially gifted in hosting and celebrating the
holidays. Her priority was remembering all of her children's special personal milestones - she never
missed one!
Elizabeth Ann's quick wit and sense of humor were her trademark, but they also often got her into
trouble! Whether she made someone laugh or jokingly insulted them with her sarcasm, she was not
going to let them forget her, and she was going to bring a smile to their faces. She was truly a friend to
all, and her zest for life was contagious. As she could be demanding at times, one of her recent doctors
nicknamed her "Queen Elizabeth", which she secretly loved. She did things the way she wanted, no
matter what! Nobody was going to push her around (just ask Jim... and the kids).
While she wasn't great on the computer, recently Ann became adept at texting and used cute emojis to
express her love to friends and family, as it became her primary mode of communication from a long
distance. Ann loved being and feeling connected, often sharing or sending her latest coloring or Snoopy
pictures, and relying on Google for information, clarification and memory reminders.
A bright light has left the earth in Ann's passing, but we will hold onto the wonderful memories and
laughter she gave us. Her love for God was steadfast, and she kept Him close to her heart. Heaven has
gained a faithful, funny and one-of-a-kind woman, and we know Ann is keeping everyone in eternity on
their toes! She will be forever loved and missed.
Ann is survived by her husband, Jim Stronz; daughter Lou Ann (Barry) Foster, son David (Jenny) Stronz,
daughter Barbara (Joseph) Link, daughter Laura Topala, and son Robert (Barbara) Stronz; 9
Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren; and sister Helen (Glenn "Skip") DeVoe. Ann was preceded in
death by her parents, her brothers Edward Kyle and Jim Kyle, and son-in-law, Cornel Topala.
