Emily Anne Mason, R.N. 26 years old, was born June 20, 1998, in Carson City, Nevada
and died May 17, 2025, in Canon City, Colorado.
She is survived by her parents Barney and Amy Mason, her siblings Jessica (Joshua Walston) and Ryan Mason; her fiancé, Dalton Auman and a multitude of friends and other family too numerous to name. (You know who you are!)
Emily was the most kind and caring soul, gathering friends all along her journey in school. First at the Guffey Charter School, Canon City High School, Northeastern Jr. College in Sterling, University of Colorado at Colorado Springs and finally finishing her Registered Nursing degree at Pueblo Community College in Canon City on May 15th, 2025.
Emily worked at the Royal Gorge Bridge and Park, enjoyed several short-term ranch jobs and worked in various medical units while she paid her way through school. She loved her job as a CNA at Saint Thomas More Hospital in the labor and delivery unit. It was her passion to help bring new life into the world, caring and comforting her patients.
In her youth, she competed in 4H dog training, archery, shooting sports and horseback riding. In college, her artwork was amazing. Her love of the outdoors and nature were filled with snowboarding, tubing in the river, fishing, bicycle riding and traveling to the beaches in summer. She was looking forward moving to Florida with Dalton. We knew she would have loved being close to the ocean.
