Reverend Freddie Don Kitch went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 9, 2023. Freddie was born February 22, 1934, in Ingalls, Kansas.
Freddie graduated high school in Ardmore, Oklahoma. He went on to graduate from Orthodox Baptist College in 1955. He met the love of his life, Lorene Riner, and married her in 1952. They had a long and happy life together until Lorene passed away in 2012.
He enjoyed hunting for arrowheads, fishing, watching the Denver Broncos play, and gardening. Many people enjoyed vegetables from his garden. Freddie started out in the ministry in Illinois. He also lived in Texas, Kansas, and Oklahoma. He moved to Colorado in 1962 and has been here ever since. He was the pastor of Oak Creek Southern Baptist Church for, close to 40 years, in Rockvale, Colorado.
Freddie is survived by his sisters: Gloria Sturges, Janie Hays and Brenda (Ron) Thomas; son: Steven Kitch; daughter: Teresa (Tom) Six; grandson: Joshua Six; granddaughter: Kaitlin Six. He is preceded in death by his wife: Lorene Kitch; daughter: Sherry Kitch; grandson: Tyler Six; parents: Don and Dorothy Kitch; and brother-in-law: Charles Hays.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at Wilson Funeral Home, 1449 South 9th Street, Cañon City, Colorado.
