Gaylen Gall Obituary

Gaylen Arthur Gall, 87, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2026, in Canon City, Colorado.  Born on July 27, 1938, in Dodge City, Kansas, to Howard and Dorothy Gall.  He was the youngest of four boys, Richard Gall, Bob Gall, and Larry Gall.   Gaylen lived a full and meaningful life dedicated to his family, service to his country, and various jobs held throughout his life.

After graduation from Cotopaxi High School, he married Donna M. Stoker June 4, 1961, and was later drafted in the United States Army where he served for two years. Donna and Gaylen had a daughter, Julie Gall while stationed in Mineral Wells, Texas.  Gaylen was honorably discharged from the Army and moved to Calahan, Colorado working for the Colorado Department of Highways.  Donna and Gaylen then had their first son, Gaylen David Gall.  The family then moved to Canon City where he worked as a hydraulic jack repairman and later had their second son, Daniel Gall.

Gaylen moved on to work for Portland Ideal Basics and later retired as a janitor at the First Christian Church.  Gaylen enjoyed camping, fishing, wood working, repairing and restoring cars.  Gaylen is survived by his wife, Donna; his two sons, David (Jenae), and Daniel (Gina);  as well as eight grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his three brothers, and his daughter, Julie Gall.
