Harry Dean Haden, 91, of Penrose, Colorado went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 9, 2024. He was born in Perry, Oklahoma on July 14, 1932 to Henry Haden and Laura Gertrude (Ritchey) Haden. He was united in marriage to Mona F. (Donham) Haden on June 3, 1951 in McPherson, Kansas. This union was blessed with the birth of two children, a son, Curtis D. Haden of Pittsburg, Kansas and a daughter; Denise F. (Haden) Moon of Penrose, Colorado. Harry served 4 years in the United States Air Force and was stationed one year in Thule, Greenland. He was a minister with the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel for 20 years.
Harry had many interests during his life. He was a licensed pilot and loved to fly. It was not uncommon for him to fly a few hundred miles just to have lunch and fly home. He loved to pan for gold, excited to find each fleck and keeping it in small bottles to give away to loved ones. He enjoyed reading, his favorite magazines being Popular Science, Pilots, and Gold Panning. He appreciated sweets, especially pies and ice cream. And, when necessary, he endured vegetables. The greatest love of his life was his relationship with Christ Jesus, and talking about Him with everyone he met.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mona; his parents, two brothers, and one granddaughter. He is survived by his children, Curtis and Vickie (Vaughn) Haden, Denise (Haden) and Dan Moon; his brother, Don Haden and Rachelle Richards; grandchildren, Shilo (Haden) and Steve Cathers, Jason and Stephany (Klipfelt) Moon, Joshua and Kimberly (Yoesel) Moon, and Jesse and Aly (Yoesel) Moon; and great- grandchildren, Aggie Cook, Ellie Cook, Allison (Moon) and Brett Paul, Abbigail and Trystan (Duck) Moon, Addison Moon, Natalee (Moon) and Jamarri Sanders, Jackson Moon, Lucas Moon, Samuel Moon, Zebadee Moon, Darcy Moon, Liam Moon, Zeke Moon and Liani Moon.
Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his faithful servants.
