Iris Coleen Harmon

Iris was the 3rd child born to Leslie U. and Cora May (Orman) Harmon in Staton County, Kansas on October 18, 1934. She graduated from Canon City High School in 1953 and went on to earn a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Adams State College.

Iris held several jobs over the years such as a telephone operator, retail sales, and teaching. However, none were more meaningful than providing care for her parents.

Iris is survived by one niece and four nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister; Patricia, and brother; Forrest.

Iris thanks her neighbor, Marion, and friends, Lucy Smith and Angie Jones, who offered only selfless help and kindness in every way.
