Jeanne L Wright 74 passed away at her home in Canon City, CO, on 11/29/ 2025, from a short battle with cancer.
She was born in Minnesota to Virgil and Cecilia Roberds on 7/6/1951. She was best known around town for her bartending and cooking abilities as she probably worked in all the bars over the years. She spent the last 20 years as a homemaker. She enjoyed making goodie baskets for the homeless and baking holiday treats for her neighbors. If you knew her, you loved her she was onry as ever, but had a big heart. Let’s not forget her love for feral cats, squirrels, and raccoons.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, sister Patricia Salazar (Manuel),brother Virgil (Sparky)Roberds stepson’s Jack and Joel Wright and the love of her life Joe Paris. Jeanne is survived by her daughters Sherri (Frankie),Brenda (Gary) and son JC. Grand children Raymond (Kaila), Ashley (Sam), Christopher (Maxine),Alexis (Taylor), Shaian (Richard),Nick (Stacey), Jonathan (Lainey),Devyn (Ryan), Chance, Jayce, Glenna, Erika, Hayden,Joelianne, And 12 great grandkids. Numerous nieces and nephews. A special thank you to Paul and Cindy Salazar and her dear friend Tim for taking care of her when family couldn’t. She will be missed dearly by her family, friends, and everyone’s life who she touched.
A celebration of life will be held at Bernie’s in Canon City on 12/20/25 at 1 PM. Finger foods will be provided as well as tea and lemonade.
Dallas Cowboys and Harley-Davidson attire are acceptable and encouraged.
