Jeneva M. Violette

Jeneva M. Violette, 73, of Canon City, CO passed away June 5, 2023. She was born December 14, 1949 in Saguache, CO to Alva and Inez (Roche) Reed. Ms. Violette served 20 years in the United States Air Force retiring as a MSGT. After the military, she worked for Fremont County Correctional Facilities for 10 years. She enjoyed her cats, painting with oil and chalks, and collecting dream catchers.

Ms. Violette leaves behind her two daughters, Michelle Lynn (Chris) Papillion of Cordova, TN, and Christine Lee (Bill) Traywick of Box Elder, SD; six grandchildren, Felicia M. Logan, Brandon M. Featherston, Shavanda Stagg, Christopher J. Papillion, Megan L. Anderson and Cameron J. Traywick; and six great-grandchildren; as well as her brothers, Alva James Reed of Penrose, CO and Bobby Lee Reed of Silvercliff, CO and Allen (Cherise) Reed; sister, Jacquetta Inez King of Florence, CO; nephews, Jamie (Lisa) Reed of Penrose, Brian (Ethan) Saraceno-Oliveri of Washington and Jeffery Wolf; and nieces, Muzette (Michael) Atencio of Black Forest, CO, Tiffany (Joey) Dhooghe of Hoquiam, WA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alva and Inez Reed; sister, Addie Irene Nelson and brother-in-law; brother, Charles Tillman Reed and sister-in-law; and four nieces.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2p.m. Friday, July 7, 2023 at Holt Chapel of the Garden: 806 Macon Ave. Canon City, CO.
