Jerimy David Mares

Jerimy D. Mares, 40, of Pueblo, Colorado, died Thursday, March 4, 2021 at University of Colorado Hospital in Denver.

Jerimy was born January 22, 1981 in Grand Junction, Colorado to David and Debra (Mascarenas) Mares. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with friends and family. He was a devoted member of his church and enjoyed sharing the gospel with others. Jerimy excelled in his profession as a welder, joining Local 58 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union in 2005.

Jerimy is survived by his sons, Gabriel and Elijah Mares of Cañon City; daughter, Shannon Wentz of Strasburg; two sisters, Terri Ehrlich of Evans, Colorado, Nicole Santana of Monaca, Pennsylvania; brother, Phillip Quintana of Greeley, Colorado; stepbrother, Ivan Matthews; stepsister, Emily Dennehy; father, David Mares and stepmother, Teresa Mares.  He also has several nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his mother and little sister, Joy Angel Quintana.

Visitation 12:00 p.m. followed by funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 15, 2021, Vineyard Christian Fellowship, 425 S. Raynolds Ave., in Cañon City.
