Jo Ann Clark, 80, of Canon City, Colorado, passed away on September 17, 2024. She
was born on August 5, 1944, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to the late Howard and Wanda May
Henson. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Rhunell Garcia. Jo Ann was a
devoted wife to her husband of almost 62 years, Gary Clark, and a cherished mother to
her children Terri Wrona and Michael Clark. She is also survived by her brother, Doug
Henson, her son-in-law, Thomas Wrona, her daughter-in-law, Sandy Clark, and her
grandchildren, Jeff Wrona, Jason Wrona, Jacob Clark and Stephanie Clark.
Jo Ann was baptized at age 9 and she held a strong Christian faith throughout her life.
She graduated from Florence High School in 1962. After raising Terri and Michael as a
stay-at-home mom, she was a beloved day care provider for over 25 years. She
enjoyed reading, crafts, listening to music, traveling, playing slot machines, and
spending time with family and friends. Jo Ann will be remembered for her unwavering
faith, infectious kindness, and love for her family. A celebration of her life will be held on
September 30, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Wilson Funeral Home in Canon City. In lieu of
flowers, please send donations to the Jo Ann Clark Memorial Scholarship fund in care
of Canon City Schools 101 N 14th Street, Canon City, CO 81212.
