John was born on July 29th, 1952, in Camp Chaffee, Arkansas to John & Rhoda Naab.
John grew up in Garden City, Kansas where he graduated from Garden City High School in 1970. He spent 1971 & 1972 in the Army & then he returned home to Garden City where he worked several jobs over the years, from owning & operating his bar “Little Johns” to eventually working for the Sheriff’s Department. He was married to Martha Naab (Zerr) in 1983 & the couple had two children; Madisyn in 1987 & Marcus in 1992 before the family of four moved to Canon City, Colorado in the summer of 1994. John worked for many years at the local City Market & then spent ten-plus years working for various online schools. John loved a good joke & making people laugh. In earlier years, he enjoyed fishing & golfing. One hobby that John never tired of was gambling. He was a lover of poker & was a frequent visitor to his favorite little getaway location, Cripple Creek. He was a lifelong fan of the Kansas City Chiefs through the best & the worst of seasons. John will be remembered fondly & will be missed dearly by those that knew him & loved him.
