Jon Jones Obituary

Jon Weldon Jones died at age 82 from Leukemia on December 15, 2020. Jon was a graduate of Cañon City High School and later received a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering at Colorado University. This achievement led him to his lifelong employment as a design and construction engineer of the control booths and studios required for television broadcasts from the headquarters of the NBC national network in New York City.

During his time living in the East Coast, Jon married his wife Patty, who preceded him in death. After Jon's retirement, he returned to Cañon City.

Jon is survived by his son, Scott Jones of Cañon City and brothers, Albert Spencer of Durango, Colorado and Alan Jones of Centennial, Colorado. No memorial services are planned.
