Kenneth Alan Beneze, Born to David and Norma Beneze in Decatur Illinois on October 19, 1949. Second child of six children: Mark, Kenneth, Thomas, Bruce, Michelle and Walter. After high school, Ken had odd jobs before deciding to attend Mount Vernon Bible College of Ohio in 1968, studying and growing in faith and in Christ. Ken loved to sing and joined choir in college. He enjoyed all kinds of music, but particularly hymns, praise songs and contemporary music.
Ken enjoyed fishing, gardening, raising chickens and rabbits, he also enjoyed painting.
Ken met his second wife in 1987, Sandra Jimenez, at Foursquare Church in Glendale, California and got married two years later.
Sandra was a single mother of three children Wendy, Clara and Arthur. They’ve been married 35 years. Ken worked at a very large church in La Crescenta, California as head superintendent maintaining custodial, caretaking and other church needs. Then returning to Glendale, Ken got a position as a supervisor at the Los Angeles zoo in charge of the trams operated there. He worked full-time and started his business as a tax preparer in season.
Ken was a very good stepdad, sometimes called “pops” he taught them the love of the Lord God and his son Jesus, he took time to listen to them.
Both Ken and Sandra ministered to young people and the homeless who needed prayer and other needs. Ken cared for pastors, he prayed for them and with them. Ken passed away to be with the Lord on the evening of Saturday, September 14th. You will be greatly missed, his love, his care, his help and guidance. He will live on forever in our memories and in our hearts. Ken was 74 years old.
