Lance Roe Spurlock, 74, passed away December 21, 2020 at Parkview Hospital in Pueblo. He was born at the Colorado Hospital in Cañon City on September 26, 1946 to Kenneth and Freeda Spurlock, graduating from Cañon City High School in 1965. Following graduation, Lance began a career in radio and advertising, eventually becoming sales manager for KCSJ in Pueblo and KHOW in Denver. Lance followed this career to Oklahoma, Oregon and California. He was later employed by the Colorado Department of Corrections.
In his earlier years, Lance was president of the Young Republicans of Fremont County and was also a member of the Elks and Jaycees. He served six years in the Army Reserves and was a member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
Lance was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his daughter, Sheri, of Denver; son, Christopher, of Colorado Springs; son, Preston, of Boulder; brother, Larry, of Cañon City and two grandchildren.
