Larry Berggren

Larry Robert Berggren of Florence, Colorado was born January 23, 1954. His life's journey concluded April 20, 2026. Larry moved with his family from Minnesota to Colorado in the early 80s, raising 4 children as a single father in The San Luis Valley. He worked as an EMT and attended Adams State University graduating with a masters degree in early childhood special education. He then moved to Canon City, Colorado to start his career, finally settling into his forever home in Florence, Colorado. He retired from the Pueblo school district, Belmont Elementary. In retirement, he found joy in all of Gods creatures, mostly dedicating his devotion to his cats and chickens and a fish. He contributed to his community as often as he could, working at the city library in Canon City, volunteering at My Neighbors Cupboard in Penrose, and attending the Florence Faith Journey Church. Larry had 4 children, 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren: Jason Berggren of Denver, Colorado, and sons, Alec and Lyric; David Berggren of Toulon, France, wife, Sylvie and daughter Amalie; Chantelle Cobler of Canon City, Colorado, son, Jerod and daughter, Baylee; and Chariese Trujillo of Canon City, Colorado, husband, Lawrence A Trujillo and daughters, Skylar, Aubree, and Heaven. He was a teacher every chance he got and treated life as a learning opportunity, always seeking knowledge in every experience no matter how big or small and loved to share that knowledge with anyone that would listen. He was an amazing man and we are grateful for the time the Lord allowed him to grace us with his presence. Rest easy Daddy we will be together again in heaven.
