Linda Kay Garcia went to be with the Lord on October 26, 2024 at St Thomas More Hospital surrounded by her husband Raymond and family. Linda was born in Pueblo, CO on September 1, 1954 to Leon and Lucille (Mosley) Casey. Linda married Raymond Garcia in Colorado Springs, CO on December 23, 1971, a marriage that lasted over 52 years.
Linda attended Florence High School where she obtained her diploma. She was employed at Bufmack's Restaurant in Florence, CO as a dishwasher, later worked at Estes Rocket Industries in Penrose, CO, and was then employed by the Abbey in Canon City for 23 years, from where she retired.
Linda was a loving wife and mother, and was known for her hospitality, hard work, and ethics. She loved cooking and took great pride in her recipes. She always put others before herself, and her door was always open to friends and family.
Linda is survived by her husband, Raymond of Penrose, CO, 5 children; Jesse (Julie) Garcia of Florence, CO, Jamie (Lorri) Garcia of Canon City, CO, Kimberly Garcia of Penrose, CO, Alex Garcia of Florence, CO and Paul Garcia of Penrose, CO. Linda is also survived by 5 grandchildren,1 great grandchild, as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Linda was faithful to the Lord Jesus Christ and her family and friends will always miss her dearly.
Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 2nd at First Southern Baptist Church (Florence Bible Church) in Florence, CO. Online condolences at holtfamilyfuneralhomes.com.
