Linda Elaine Lovejoy

Linda Elaine Lovejoy was born on February 13, 1949, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Linda passed away in Cañon City, Colorado on April 2, 2021, at the age of 72.

Linda is survived by her sister; Nancy Morris, brother; Charles Lovejoy, many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Glen and Alberta Lovejoy and her husband; Smitty Smith. 

Linda lived her first years in Evergreen Station, south of Florrisant, Colorado, moving on to reside north of Lake George, Colorado. She was a graduate of Woodland Park High School, later studying at Blair Business College in Colorado Springs. Linda was fortunate to have experienced living in Italy, Texas, and Georgia as well.

She loved the many friends she made living in Cañon City and looked forward to her weekly lunch group and bingo at the VFW Hall. Linda was loved by many relatives and friends. She will be greatly missed by all.

Linda lost her life due to smoke inhalation in her mobile home. The family would like to thank the Cañon City Fire Department and local law enforcement for their efforts on her behalf. 

A memorial service for Linda will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 25th, 2021, at Holt Family Funeral Home, 806 Macon Ave., Canon City, CO.
