Lola Louise (Lewis) Davies was delivered into this world on December 29, 1940, by her earthly father and was taken back to her heavenly home on May 28, 2024, by her Holy Father whom she loved very much. She was a member of the Church of Christ since she was around 13 years old.
Lola was born to Wilbur and Verdie (Carter) Lewis in Florence, CO. She was married to the love of her life, Griffith James Davies, on November 26, 1959. They had been married for 51 years.
Lola is survived by her son, Griffith James Davies II; sisters: Wilma Munson and Vera Kite; son-in-law: Bill Wriske; sister-in-law: Verda Mae Lewis; grandchildren: Megan (Cory) Hudson, Ashley Wriske, Billy Wriske, and Kirsten Davies; great-grandson: Lucas; as well as many nieces and nephews; and special friends: Carol and Kathy.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Griffith; her beloved daughter: Cynthia D. Davies (Wriske); brothers: Earl Lewis and Paul Lewis; sisters: Zelpha Mae Brassea, Geneva Garoutte, and Juanita J. Acton; sisters-in-law: Edith Lewis and Georgia (Sedmak) Polenzki; and brothers-in-law: Mac Sedmak, Max Munson, Sr., Jim Kite, Jim Brassea, Bobby Garoutte, and Curtis Acton; grandson: Griffith James Davies III; nephews: Jimmy Brassea, Max Munson, Jr., and Joey Kite; and niece: Cathy Lewis.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11a.m on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at The Church of Christ: 1718 Franklin Avenue in Cañon City. A graveside will follow at Union Highland Cemetery in Florence, CO.
