Loran Eldon Allen, 82, went to be with the lord on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Parkview Hospital surrounded by his wife Betty and family. Loran was born December 18, 1940 in Pueblo, CO to Henry and Myrrl Allen.
Loran loved ranching, truck driving, hunting, fishing, logging, politics, mechanics and dirt track racing. He loved to go to Cripple Creek, and spending time with family. He especially loved spending time with his grandmother

Loran graduated from Central High School in 1958, and was a proud “Wildcat”. He also proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for 6 years and worked as an aircraft mechanic. He was honorably discharged
on February 15, 1965. After serving his country, he held numerous jobs in the Wet Mountain Valley area. His most memorable jobs were logging for Kaufman Sawmill and Canda Sawmill, cutʫing the ski line for
Conquistador Ski Area, and working as a rancher for Story Ranch. His greatest accomplishments were his family and owning his own business LBP Enterprises.
Loran is survived by his wife Betty (Berry) Allen of Pueblo CO, one brother; Laurel (Bertha) Allen of
Pueblo CO, 5 children; Loran Patrick (Laura) Allen of Phoenix, AZ., David (Sherrie) Allen of Colorado
Springs, CO, Sarah (Ed) Kearney of Vancouver, WA, Paul (Tracy) Allen of Pueblo. CO, and Michael
(Danielle) Allen of Connersville OK. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and numerous great
grandchildren and extended family. He is preceded in death by both parents Henry and Myrrl Allen and
brother Virgil Allen.
Loran asked to be cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held August 3, 2024 from 1pm to 4pm at the
Wet Mountain Valley Saddle Club Event Hall at 900 County Rd. 241 Westcliffe, CO. 81252.
In Lieu of Flowers, donations can be made in memory of Loran Allen to the American Legion #170 in
Westcliffe CO. The Allen family wish to extend our sincere thanks to the medical staff at Parkview ER and
ICU for the care they showed during this difficult time.
