Lynn Robert Powley

Lynn Robert Powley, 84, of Cañon City and Westcliffe, Colorado, passed from this Earth at 7:17 PM on May 16, 2022, surrounded by his family.

Born on May 12, 1938, in Pittsburg, California, Lynn attended Whittier High School in Whittier, CA, and studied Engineering at UC Berkeley. He began his career as a surveyor with SoCal Edison, spent 17 years with Santa Fe Railroad as a Roadmaster, and finished his career as a Construction Manager Consultant to the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach. Lynn was an avid hunter and fisherman who thrived in the mountains of Colorado.

Lynn is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 64 years, Jolene Powley; daughter, Desiree Morelli; son, Keith Lynn (Angela) Powley; brother, Keith Elmore (Ashley) Powley; nieces, Jessica Reale and Tara Papas; nephews, Justin and Stephen Powley; and grandchildren, Joseph Morelli, Kimberly Powley, and Grant and Grayson Broome. He is preceded in death by his parents, E. Frank and Bernice Powley.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 23, 2022, at Holt Family Funeral Home in Cañon City, CO. Interment will follow services at Mountain Vale Memory Garden, also in Cañon City, CO.
