MacKenzie Leh Clausen, born November 16, 1997 to Paul and Michelle (Parker-Telck) Clausen went to be with our Lord on June 8, 2019.
MacKenzie attended school's in Canon City where she played softball, which helped her obtain certifications in the medical and criminal justice fields. She achieved many great accomplishments but her true passion was her horse Tommy, and her dog Jip. She was the 2017 Royal Gorge Rodeo Queen and Miss Congeniality.
Mac was always willing to help everyone she met. Everyone was instantly drawn to her spunky and loving personality. The darkest of rooms were light up by her smile and laughs. Mac's personality was contagious to all.
MacKenzie was always on the lookout for a new adventure, especially if it involved an animal. She loved Rodeo, farming, and bucking hay with Papa Dick. She got her love of horses from her daddy. He taught her to rope, rode trails together and shared a true father-daughter bond that will always be remembered.
There was never a dull moment on car rides whether it was her singing so loud, dancing crazy or giving people her "look". Nose scrunched, one brow raised and tongue sticking out. She always tried to embarrass you. She was the jack of all trades to horses, mechanicing, teaching people to drive stick shift, or how to dance.
She is survived by her mother and father Michelle and Paul Clausen, her sisters Brittany (Kyle) Sukhbir, Brandi Clausen, Breanna (Ben) Keller, and Sierra Clausen; her grandfather, Richard Telck; nieces and nephews, Raelyn and Wyatt Sukhbir and Aden Keller; along with numerous aunts and uncles, cousins and incredible friends.
Mackenzie will be greatly missed.
