Marilyn Lorene (Tyree) Lamborn

Marilyn Lorene (Tyree) Lamborn, 81, of Canon City passed away on September 25, 2021, in Colorado Springs.

She was born on October 26, 1939, in Granada, Colorado to Claud Earl and Anna Mae Tyree. Marilyn married Robert Leroy Lamborn on January 3, 1956, in Clayton, New Mexico. They went on to start their married life together in Lakin, Kansas before moving to Canon City in 1968, where they decided to put down their roots. She was a homemaker, enjoyed gardening and the outdoors. Marilyn loved her animals, especially her cats, but beyond all else she loved spending time with her family.

Mrs. Lamborn is survived by her 4 children, Christine (Joseph) Crane, Gary (Jean) Lamborn, Kathleen (Phil) Eastman, and Robert (Stephanie) Lamborn; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Virginia Salem; and brother, Russell Tyree.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Claud and Anna Tyree; husband, Robert Lamborn; son, James Lee Lamborn; and brothers, Bill and Wayne Tyree.

Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Thursday, September 30, 2021, at Holt Family Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM Friday, October 1, 2021, at Holt Chapel of the Garden. Interment will follow at Mountain Vale Memorial Garden Cemetery in Canon City, Colorado.
