Mary Ruth Alston, 84, passed away at her home in Canon City, Colorado, on May 3, 2021. She was born in Denver, Colorado, on March 7, 1937.

Mary grew up in farm country in Eaton, Colorado. She was the daughter of Ray and Tillie Poulsen and had two brothers, Ray Poulsen, Jr., and Paul (Cub) Poulsen. She married Richard Alston and they eventually settled in the Penrose/Canon City area.

Mary was a warm hearted person with a sweet soul. She always had a smile and cheerful comment for everyone. Her joy and laughter will be missed by her friends and family.
