Mary (Gingery) Booth of Florence, Colorado, age 85, passed away October 11, 2020. She was born December 24, 1934 in Longmont, Colorado to Jessie and Ruby Gingery. Mary will be remembered as a local artist with works in Custer and Fremont counties. She was an active member of the Canon City Geology club for many years.
For most of her life, she lived in the rural area of Wetmore, Colorado where she raised goats, chickens, and other farm animals. She truly enjoyed having her farm animals around. Mary also enjoyed all that the Colorado outdoors had to offer, as well as gardening and rock collecting. It was her goal to travel over every mountain pass in Colorado. If you didn’t find Mary painting, she would be gardening, out collecting rocks and minerals, or on a road trip on one of her many adventures.
Mary is survived by her sons, Perry and Virgil; and grandchildren, Heather, Geanna, Brandon, PJ, and Gregory.
No service will be held for Mary at this time, due to the corona virus concerns.
