It is with deepest sorrow that we announce that Mary Alice Moore, 65, of Canon City
Colorado passed away unexpectedly on April 2nd , 2025. Mary was born May 29th , 1959,
in Parsons Kansas to Elmer and Dowana Holsinger. Mary was a beloved wife to
Leonard Moore and mother to Casey and Cody Palmer who were her whole life. She
will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Mary worked at Knecht Home Center as a
lumber purchaser for 22 years. She was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. She enjoyed
camping, gambling and betting on the horses. She loved to travel. She recently visited
Ruidoso Mexico and Maine. She loved spending time with her friends and family and
her dogs John Wayne and Smokey. Mary was preceded in death by her son Casey
Palmer, her mother and father, four brothers, Dean Holsinger, David Holsinger, Michael
Holsinger and Randy Holsinger and sister Robin Watson. She is survived by her best
friend of 30 years Dena Erickson, 3 sisters, Sheri Burke, Judy Burns, Debbie Forbes
and brother Tim Holsinger. She is mourned by her family and many friends. She will
never be missing because you fill our hearts and lives every day. Memorial service will
be Wednesday April 9th , 2025, at 11:00 am at Holt Mortuary, 8th and Macon Ave. Canon
City, Co.
