Melvin Klipp, age 72, of Cañon City, CO, passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2025 at St. Thomas More Hospital in Cañon City, CO. Melvin was born in Denver, CO on November 1, 1953. In his life, he served in the United States Navy and he retired from Coors Brewing Company in Brighton, CO after working there for many years. His favorite thing to do in his free time was going fly fishing on the Colorado River and his passion for music led him to meet the love of his life by becoming her drummer for their band.
Along with his parents, George and Kathryn Klipp, Melvin was preceded in death by his brothers, David and Richard Klipp.
Melvin is survived by his sisters: Melissa Carrigan and Kara Klip; the love of his life: Karen Klipp; his sons: Christopher and Daniel; his daugher: Angelque Alolor; his grandchildren: Athena Haxby, Vincent Wicke, Javon Martinez, Gabriel Alolor; and his great granddaughter: Lydia Simpson.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at Holt Funeral Home, 806 Macon Ave, Cañon City, Colorado, with a reception to follow.
