On February 25th, 2024, Michael "Mike" David Aragon departed this earth for his heavenly home. Welcomed to the world on May 14th, 1960, by Julian "Jack" and Louise Aragon, Mike lived his entire life in Cañon City, where he was born. An ordained pastor, Mike lived a simple life dedicated to God and his family. He was known for a good joke and a welcoming heart, his soft smile and quiet nature hiding the quick wit and sharp mind those who were closest to him knew well.
He is survived by his two daughters, LaShaunda and Shalana; siblings, Steve, Juliana, Leo, Pat, and Carla; nieces, Mona and Marty; nephews, Curtis, Joseph, Shawn, Josh, Jamie, Frankie, and Robbie, and numerous grandchildren, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He was welcomed to his eternal home by his parents; siblings, Irene, Lynette, and Pep; and nephews, Billy and Danny.
Mike was a treasured member of his family and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. A private viewing has been arranged for the family and a celebration of his life will take place on March 23, 2024 at 2 p.m, at Centennial Park.
