Mona Yellico Obituary

Mona Yellico, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away on March 24, 2025  in Westminster, Colorado, amongst family and friends. She lived a full and vibrant life, leaving behind a legacy of strength, determination, and warmth.

Family was most important to Mona. Her family knew they could depend on her always being there, whether they were one or seventy years old. She was a constant source of love, care, and sage advice. Her passion for life, combined with her tireless work ethic, inspired everyone around her. Mona’s love and guidance will be missed by all of us every day.

Mona was a dedicated businesswoman who built a remarkable career and was known for her adventurous spirit. Her love for travel took her to many corners of the world, and she embraced every opportunity to explore new places.

She is survived by her children, Diana Andersen (Kevin Andersen, deceased), Tami Yellico (Mark Lovin), Frank Yellico (Jill Yellico); her grandchildren, Derek Andersen, Stephanie Bitterman, Jake Yellico, Josh Yellico, Ashley Fruhwirth, Brandon Fruhwirth, and Melissa McLaury, Aaron McLaury, and Megan Rungie. Mona also had eight great-grandchildren, whom she adored deeply. She is mourned by numerous extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.

Mona is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Yellico; as well as her parents, Martin and Pearl Kattnig and 5 brothers and sisters, Juanita Schultz, Katherine Westfall, Martin Kattnig Jr., Paul Kattnig and Franklin Roland Kattnig.

Services celebrating Mona’s life will be held at the Shepherd of the Hills Church: 801 Sheridan Avenue, on Monday, March 31, 2025 at 11:30 am. Interment to follow at Lakeside Cemetery.
