Myrna Conditt

Myrna Conditt passed away July 30, 2023 at the age of 95. She was born in La Junta, CO to parents Herbert and Leota Thomas. She was living in La Junta, CO at the time of her passing.

Myrna grew up during the great depression. She served as a maintenance technician for the Air Force during WWII, worked as a telephone operator in the Bell System, a clerk in the Otero County Assessor’s office, drove a school bus, and was a secretary and matron for the Otero County Sheriff’s office all while raising three children and helping to make their small family farm work. Myrna has touched the lives of many along her path through life and will be missed by family, friends, her church, and community.

Myrna is survived by George Deihl; siblings, Lorna Jorgenson, Joan Rahm and Jean Thomas; children, Michel (Mike) Eugene Conditt (Linda), Matt Thomas Conditt (Beth), and Jenifer Susan (Su) Korbitz (Mark); and a host of grandchildren, great- grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Eugene (Gene) Conditt and grandson, Nicholas (Nic) Conditt.
