Nancy Kay Lange passed away peacefully on November 9, 2023 surrounded by her family. She was born March 21, 1946 in Canon City to Dale and Nellie Branum. She graduated from Canon City High school in 1965.
Nancy married Richard Lange on January 19, 1970. Together they raised 7 children. She worked as a meat cutter at Hilltop Market for many years. The rest of her time was spent as a homemaker. She had a passion for gardening, sewing and spending time sharing meals with her family. She had a giant heart for animals.
Nancy is survived by her daughters, Cheryl Simpson, Carissa Curry, Kayla Lange, Chelsie Solis, Stephanie (Zach) Bufmack; sons, Christopher Lange, James (April) Lange; and great- grandchildren, Jayden, Chad, Peyton, Lilith, Adisyn, Ansley and Annaliese.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Lange; parents, Dale and Nellie Branum; brothers, Dick and Charlie Branum; sister, Janice Ramirez; granddaughter, Brittany; nieces, Cathy Sue and Kathy Branum and brother-in-law, Raymond Ramirez.
A memorial service will be held at 1p.m on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at Holt Family Funeral Home: 806 Macon Ave in Canon City, CO. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Humane Society of Fremont County.
