Nathan Edwin Hall entered his Heavenly home on June 24, 2024. Nathan was born on January 25, 1962. He was adopted March 29, 1962 by Edwin and Bessie Mae Hall and became part of the family along with his older sister, Deborah Hall Miller.
Nathan grew up in Cañon City, Colorado being raised on the family farm and living next door to his maternal grandparents. Still in diapers, he would follow his grandfather around, always ready to help. Nathan learned to walk at 11 months. He learned to drive the tractor on the farm at a very early age. Nathan worked along with his father many years taking care of the cattle and cutting/baling hay. He also took piano lessons from his mother and played in piano recitals in his younger years.
In 1967, Nathan started school. He was a member of the Boy Scouts. He was active in football and basketball in Junior High, but his love for basketball continued well into his adult years where he could be found on the court during his lunch breaks at CMHIP where he worked.
Nathan loved motorized vehicles of any kind. He bought his first minibike at the age of 12, graduating to dirt bikes, street bikes, UTV’s, jet skis, boats, cars and trucks. He bought his first car in 1977. He often said he “had a need for speed.” Nathan loved the outdoors and being on the water. He also enjoyed years of camping with his family throughout his entire life.
Seven days after graduating from Canon City High School in 1980, Nathan began attending Phoenix Institute of Technology earning his electronics degree in 1982. He briefly worked for GenRad in Arizona before returning in 1983 to Cañon City where he worked with his father at Portec for 3 years. He purchased the home he loved in Pueblo West where he lived out his days. Nathan also worked in Information Technology at the Colorado Department of Corrections, Unisys, and for the Colorado Mental Health Institute Pueblo where he spent the last 16 years prior to retirement in 2012.
Nathan was predeceased by his grandparents, his parents, Edwin and Bessie Mae Hall, and his sister, Deborah Hall Miller.
Nathan is survived by Diana (Ryan) DeCrona (Niece), Bradley (Ryann) Hall (Nephew), Kristen (Tobiah) Twine (Niece), John Miller (Brother-in-law) and numerous great nieces, nephews and cousins. Nathan is also survived by Laura L. Clark (his long-term significant other).
A Celebration of Nathan’s Life will be held on September 7, 2024 at the house of Laura Clark in Colorado Springs.
Nathan had a warm, caring heart and will surely be missed.
