Patricia Anne Marlow

Patricia Marlow aged 89 passed away following a brief illness on September 5th, 2022.  She was born on August 12th, 1933, in Wolf Park; an area of Canon City now known as Lakeside Cemetery. She was born to Oswald and Edna White both of Wolf Park, had 10 siblings, and was the granddaughter of Ed and Jennie Dye of Canon City.  

After high school, she married Donald Marlow at 17, on June 10th, 1951, and the couple had a brief honeymoon in Buena Vista, Colorado. Donald was on active duty with the US Army and together were stationed at several domestic Army Posts as well as Oversees Posts including Japan, France, and Germany. Patricia was a dedicated homemaker for her six children and husband, they retired to Florence Colorado, and finally to Colorado Springs, Colorado. 

Patricia was a 40-year, active member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha International sorority, first with the Beta Zeta chapter and then with the Omega Chi chapter. In addition to being an accomplished bowler, she was a frequent parent volunteer in the Florence School system from chaperone to room mother. Following her husband’s passing Patricia set off to explore the world, traveling throughout Europe with her children and living out her life with her siblings, children, and grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and oldest daughter. She is survived by her 5 living children, 16 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.  

Her services will be held on Thursday, September 15th at 11:00 am at Wilson Funeral Home in Canon City.
