Phyllis Giem, 83, of Florence, Colorado passed away on April 21, 2022. She was born to Luke and Irene (Wands) Lukezic on July 31, 1938, in Victor, Colorado.
Phyllis retired from School District RE-2 as the secretary for Fremont Elementary. She provided staff, students, and parents with laughter, comfort, and joy while there. Wherever she was, one could find her anywhere in a building because of her infectious laughter. She overcame many tragedies in her life and was always there for someone in need. Phyllis loved spending time with her family and friends, especially during Christmas gatherings and family reunions. Phyllis was always the life of the party and took pride in being known as the Party Grandma.
She is survived by her sister, Jo Lukezic; children, James (Cindy) Oliver, John (Lori) Oliver, and Alan (Debbie) Oliver; grandchildren, Nicole (Joshua) Phillips, Corey Oliver, Kylie (Riley) Clerget, Hunter (Broc) Oliver, Chloe Oliver, C. Matt (Jon) Oliver, Chris (Tona) Oliver, Brandon (Christcha) Oliver, Tyler (Holly) Roquemore, Morgan (Kassi) Roquemore, and Mackenzie (Jerica) Roquemore; great-grandchildren, Ember Phillips, Kali Mae Clerget, Kennedy Clerget, Kourtney Clerget, Emma Oliver, Luke Oliver, Delilah Gartman, Jaheira Morse, Cora Mack, Grace Roquemore, Octavia Roquemore, Cecilia Roquemore, Riley Roquemore, Hailey Roquemore, Wesley Roquemore, Samuel Roquemore, Alexander Roquemore, and Olivia Roquemore; nieces, Karrie Filios and Sue Casio; and nephews, Robert Fidler, Brett Lukezic, and Craig Lukezic.
She is preceded in death by her parents; baby girl Oliver; son, Phillip Oliver; husband, Elmer Giem; sister, Kathy (Bird) Lukezic; brother, Felix Lukezic; and grandson, Aaron Oliver.
