Raymond Sanborn Jr. passed away October 19, 2023 in Canon City, CO. He was born April 2, 1959 to Raymond and Fumie (Horita) Sanborn in Alaska. Raymond worked for Holcim Cement Plant in Florence, CO for almost 30 years, retiring in 2019. He enjoyed fishing, riding dirt bikes and his Harley, and playing golf in the Men’s Leagues with his friends at Fourmile Golf Course and Sumo Golf Course. He had many hobbies, but most of all, he loved spending time with his granddaughters doing just about anything, but especially boating at Taylor Reservoir in Gunnison, CO. Raymond will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Raymond is survived by his daughter, Diana (Joe) Chaney, granddaughters, Natalie Chaney and Izzy Chaney; step-grandchildren, Marty Novosel and Chloe Serviss; sister, Ruthie Jubic; brother, John Sanborn; three nieces and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Sanborn; parents, Raymond and Fumie Sanborn; brother, Chester Sanborn; and step-daughter, Amanda Yellico.
